There's so much to update everyone on. If you're a friend of mine on Facebook, you've gotten a bit of what I've been dealing with in life over the last year, not all, but some. Let's just say that 2014 and the first part of 2015 have been challenging and difficult in many ways. My time has been pulled in other directions in order to tend to personal and family needs. However, things are finally starting to settle down, and I can FINALLY see an opening for me to start working again. YAY!
Over the last couple months, I have been working behind the scenes on my new website. It will include both of my previous Two Peas in A Bucket online classes (Through the Kaleidoscope - Color Theory for Scrapbooking and Seasonal StoryTelling - Mini Albums for Each Season) which will be available for purchase as well as retroactively available for those who previously purchased them through Two Peas. It will also include new classes (to come later this year) and a shop for my own designed products, in addition to my blog, which will be a new domain name, so keep an eye out for that. I am really excited about having a one-stop-shop for both my graphic design and scrapbooking. It's been something that I've wanted to do for a very long time, so I am excited to have it finally coming to fruition.
In the meantime, I have been working on a collection, to get my bearings back and dip my toes back into designing again. I found through designing Urban Autumn, that starting with the small format of 3x4" cards is a great way to get the juices flowing. So, I started with a set of 3x4" cards as my jumping off point this time around :)
The collection is called Winter Solstice and it was inspired by the two feet of snow that is still on the ground here in Connecticut. It's a collection that speaks to an optimistic nod of "It's winter-but-almost-spring" feeling that some of us in New England are feeling. :)
Here's a peek at Winter Solstice:
With my experimentation in designing again, I've decided to reward all of my long-time followers with a freebie! I'll be giving a digital set of all of these 3x4" cards to everyone who likes and comments on my Facebook page announcing the collection (posted yesterday). So, make sure you head over and "like" my page and comment on the post to get your FREE set early next week! Comments are open through the weekend :)
Looking forward, in the next month, I plan to have 1-2 more collections available on my newly launched website, so there's more to look forward to! I can't wait to share it with you and finally get back in the game with all of you! I miss you all so much!
Happy Day-After-Christmas, Boxing Day, December 26th! If you celebrated Christmas yesterday I hope you had a wonderful day. I thought I'd pop in and let you know that I have cut the prices on all items in the Fair Isle collection now thru December 31st! So, if you have pieces that you want to finish in your December album, now is a great time to get those last minute finishing touches! :)
In the coming weeks, I'll be debuting a new set of printables and cut files, so be on the lookout for those! :) Until then, I'm working on some fun stuff for October Afternoon and Chickaniddy Crafts for CHA, so I won't be on the blog much, but I'm looking forward to seeing you more in 2014 again and hopeful for fun things to come!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful, safe New Year!
Hi everyone! I hope you are enjoying the first few days of December! I'm a little behind, having just sent some family off this morning from the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. But I wanted to start off the month, with a FREE printable, that coordinates with Fair Isle and will be the majority of the cards that I'll be using for my December/winter album. I'll have pictures of what I have going on so far here in the next couple days, but for now, hopefully this will give you something fun to play with!
If you deceide to use them, please use the hashtag #FairIslecollection and #amyhellerdesign so I can see what you've made! Also, you can post them on my Facebook page or even here in my comments! I would love to see what you've created!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll have fun Fair Isle projects to share along with some October Afternoon later this week! Until then, have a super day!
