Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you had a great week and are looking forward to a relaxing weekend! I know I am! This week I'm hosting the Weekly Challenge at Two Peas in a Bucket. The challenge is to use a sketch I created based on a fun print, to get your scrappy juices flowing! I'd love for you to play along! If you have the chance to, make sure you upload it to the Weekly Challenge: Sketch Challenge: For Like Ever, for your chance to be entered to win a $5 Two Peas Gift Certificate! This page uses pieces from the new arrival in the shop October Afternoon's Sasparilla (wood grain), some of my favorite letterpress labels, embellishments from Neapolitan from Dear Lizzy by American Crafts as well as some of the ymmy new pieces from My Mind's Eye.
I really love how all the different elements and collections come together on this page. Even though I used pink, peach and hearts, the addition of the weathered woodgrain makes the collective design somehow more masculine and acceptable to use for this relaxed image of my handsome husband.
So, are you curious about the sketch I used, or the inspiration print I used to come up with this design? If so, make sure to check out the challenge here in the Gallery. I would love to see your interpretation of the sketch! It always tickles me to see how one single element, such as a sketch, can result in so many unique, creative and inspirational pieces of artwork in and of themselves! So join me, won't you!? I hope you do!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'll be busy all weekend scrapping away, with lots of new fun things to share next week. Until then, have a wonderful weekend! ;)
